Agreement, incorporated documents and scope
These Terms are a binding agreement between the person or organization accepting them and MechaTraining LLC. Registration first records the applicant's stated intent, but the public account is not activated on that statement alone. After proving control of the registration email, the applicant must again use unchecked consent boxes to confirm age, international-service conditions, electronic records and agreement to the then-current documents. A later material legal update likewise requires a new affirmative Dashboard acceptance before protected use. MechaTraining records the document versions and SHA-256 content fingerprints, time, account, source, locale, age-of-majority confirmation, electronic-record consent, the coarse country signal supplied by the network edge and limited security hashes used to demonstrate the final action.
The user consents to receive this agreement and incorporated notices electronically. To retain them, the user needs a working email address, internet access, a device and current browser capable of displaying HTML pages, and storage or printing capability. The current documents can be opened, saved or printed from the Legal Center. A user may withdraw consent to future electronic records by requesting account deletion, but that withdrawal does not invalidate an earlier electronic acceptance or permit continued protected use without the required agreement.
The Application End User License Agreement, Acceptable Use Policy and Engineering Simulation and XR Safety Notice are part of this agreement. The Privacy Policy describes data practices and is acknowledged as a notice. An application may display an additional app-specific safety notice, store disclosure, order term or institutional agreement. A signed institutional or commercial agreement controls only where it expressly conflicts with these online Terms.
These Terms cover the MechaTraining website, account and license services, Dashboard, Academy, courses, simulations, web apps, Android apps and companions, and future mobile or desktop apps that link to these Terms. A future app is not offered merely because it is mentioned here.
Eligibility, authority and younger learners
Public self-service registration and protected product access are available internationally to adults where applicable law and an authorized distribution channel permit the service. The person must be at least 18 years old and have legal capacity to enter this agreement where that person resides. A person may not use the service where access would violate applicable sanctions, export controls, local law or an authorized app-store restriction, and may not use false information or another method to evade a lawful restriction.
MechaTraining does not currently offer public self-service accounts for minors. A minor may participate only through a separately provisioned institution-managed deployment after MechaTraining and the institution have completed the required written agreement, authority or consent, data-minimization, supervision, retention/deletion and regional child-privacy controls. Until then, minor access is unavailable. The service is not directed to children under 13.
A person accepting for an organization represents that the person is authorized to bind it. Organizations must ensure that assigned users receive these documents and comply with applicable student, employment, privacy and safety requirements.
Individual accounts, roles and security
Each account is a personal seat for one human user. Credentials, email codes, activation codes, sessions and app grants may not be shared, transferred, sold or used concurrently by multiple people. A later sign-in may close the earlier account and simulator sessions. The user must provide accurate information, including country or region of residence, update it after a permanent move, protect credentials and promptly report suspected misuse.
A verified MechaTraining account does not have a scheduled expiration merely because an application grant expires. It remains available until the user requests deletion or MechaTraining suspends or terminates it under these Terms. Application access, courses, role evidence and individual grants have their own separate durations and may expire while the account remains active.
Student eligibility may be evaluated from an academic email domain. Instructor eligibility may also require an institutional website and a public staff-directory page that supports the applicant's name, institutional email and teaching role. Instructor-role verification expires after one year and must be re-established before requesting or starting a new instructor grant. Automated checks may be incomplete and may be sent to manual review. MechaTraining may correct or revoke a role obtained with inaccurate, outdated or misleading evidence.
Separate access for each application
Account verification does not grant every application. Eligible users request each application in the Dashboard, verify the activation code sent to the account email and receive the duration and status shown for that app. The Dashboard is authoritative for start, expiration, suspension and renewal status.
At present, a verified Student ordinarily receives an initial complimentary 9-week term per eligible application, beginning at that app's first successful launch. A verified Instructor ordinarily receives a one-year term per eligible application beginning at first successful launch. A verified General User ordinarily receives one complimentary 14-day trial per eligible application, also beginning at first successful launch. The instructor role must still be current when a new term starts; once issued, that application grant receives its disclosed term unless it is suspended or ended under these Terms. A later instructor renewal requires fresh role verification when the prior evidence has expired. MechaTraining may grant, extend, restore or renew complimentary access as a documented administrative exception; an exception does not create a right to later renewals or a paid subscription. Future paid access, renewals or subscriptions will require separate price, renewal, cancellation and order disclosures; complimentary access does not create an automatic charge.
Applications, platforms and eligibility may differ. A grant for one application does not grant any other application, course, mobile companion or future product unless the Dashboard expressly says so.
Educational simulation and research use only
MechaTraining applications, simulations, XR views, lessons, warnings, recommendations, calculations, reports and exported files are educational models. They are not industrial-control, engineering-certification, safety-validation or production-authorization systems.
They must not be used to control, command, commission, validate, certify or authorize a physical machine, robot, PLC, aircraft system, vehicle, process, actuator, drive, safety circuit or production operation. No successful simulation, score, report, hash, model, G-code file, robot program, vision result or other output is permission to operate physical equipment.
Users must independently follow the equipment manufacturer's documentation, applicable codes and laws, workplace procedures, professional engineering requirements, qualified supervision, formal risk assessment, guarding, PPE, hazardous-energy control, machine-specific prove-out and inspection.
Educational institutions and employers
An institution or employer remains responsible for user authorization, rosters, supervision, accessibility, required notices and consents, retention rules, course decisions and the safety of every physical laboratory or workplace. MechaTraining does not become the institution's school official, records custodian, employer, safety authority or professional engineer merely by providing an account or complimentary app access.
Before an organization sends student records, creates managed cohorts, enables LMS or SSO integration, or relies on a legal role requiring a data-processing or institutional agreement, it must obtain the applicable written agreement from MechaTraining. No public page claims that every deployment automatically satisfies FERPA, GDPR, COPPA or another institution-specific obligation.
MechaTraining content, user files and outputs
MechaTraining and its licensors retain all rights in the software, designs, training content, simulations, graphics, trademarks and documentation. Subject to these Terms, the user receives a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license during the applicable access term. No source-code, resale, sublicensing, competing-service, certification or physical-control right is granted.
The user keeps rights in files lawfully supplied and grants MechaTraining only the limited permission needed to process, transmit, store or display them for the selected service. The user warrants having the rights and authority needed for those files and remains responsible for their legality and technical accuracy. Features that process files locally do not grant MechaTraining ownership of them.
When a user publishes material into an authorized course or cohort, the user grants MechaTraining a non-exclusive, limited license to host and display that material to authorized participants and preserve the integrity of the existing course. Following account deletion, that license survives only for already-published shared course material while the course is lawfully maintained; personal attribution is removed, and the material is deleted or de-identified when the course or controlling retention purpose ends, subject to any signed institutional agreement.
Training evidence, STL, G-code, robot programs, configuration files, PDFs, ZIPs, screenshots, estimates and hashes may be incomplete, simulated or unsuitable for a specific system. Integrity verification can show whether identified evidence changed; it does not certify the correctness or physical safety of the underlying work.
Applications, devices and third-party platforms
Web, Android and any future iOS or other versions may have different functions, permissions, device requirements and update cycles. A device, operating-system or app-store operator may impose separate terms. Third-party software, open-source components, AR services, browsers, cloud services and learning platforms remain subject to their own licenses and notices.
Installing or downloading an app does not bypass account, role, license or safety requirements. Users must install updates reasonably required for security or compatibility. MechaTraining does not promise compatibility with every device, browser, network, headset, operating-system version or app-store territory.
Web access is offered internationally where law permits. An Android listing, direct Android package, future Apple listing or other app is authorized only after MechaTraining has released that exact package and version through the Dashboard or an authorized channel available to the user. Store catalogs, device support and app versions may vary by country. A reference, preview, badge or future-platform clause is not a license or representation of present availability.
Changes, testing and availability
Features may be experimental, preview or beta even when the product name does not include those words. MechaTraining may add, modify, replace or discontinue an app, simulation, course, feature, provider, limit or compatibility profile. The service may be interrupted for maintenance, security, legal compliance or events outside reasonable control. Users should keep authorized copies of files they need.
Availability may be restricted where required by law, sanctions, an authorized distribution channel, institution, account role, age, device, application or release version. A country signal may select an available language and support regional compliance, but it is not used as a blanket United States-only access rule. If a specific service cannot lawfully be supplied in a location, the public legal, privacy, deletion and evidence-verification routes remain available.
Material changes to these Terms use a new version and effective date. When renewed consent is required, protected app requests, activation and launch remain unavailable until the user affirmatively accepts the new version. Silence is not treated as acceptance of a material revision.
Suspension, expiration and termination
MechaTraining may suspend, restrict or terminate an account, role, session or app grant when reasonably necessary to address a security threat, unlawful conduct, prohibited physical-equipment use, inaccurate verification, credential sharing, abuse, nonpayment under future paid terms, legal process or risk to users, systems or third parties. Advance notice may be omitted when immediate action is reasonably necessary.
Users may stop using the service and may request account deletion through the deletion page. Expiration or termination ends the license to protected services but does not erase provisions that logically survive, including ownership, prohibited use, disclaimers, liability, dispute terms and lawful audit or security records.
Warranty and professional-services disclaimer
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICES, APPLICATIONS, CONTENT, OUTPUTS, XR VIEWS AND RECOMMENDATIONS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS,” “WITH ALL FAULTS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” MECHATRAINING DISCLAIMS EXPRESS, IMPLIED AND STATUTORY WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, SAFETY, RELIABILITY AND FITNESS FOR PRODUCTION OR A PARTICULAR DEVICE OR MACHINE.
MechaTraining does not provide professional engineering, legal, medical, occupational-safety or certification services. No training objective, support response, demonstration, successful result or marketing statement creates a warranty or professional approval unless a separately signed agreement expressly says so.
Allocation of risk, liability and prohibited-use claims
MechaTraining LLC is not responsible for injury, equipment or property damage, scrap, collision, downtime, lost production, regulatory consequences or other loss caused by prohibited physical-equipment use, treating educational output as production approval, credential sharing, unauthorized modification or failure to perform required independent safety procedures.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MechaTraining will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive or consequential damages, or lost profits, production, opportunity, goodwill or data. For claims that applicable law permits the parties to limit, MechaTraining's aggregate liability arising from complimentary services will not exceed US $100. A separate paid or institutional agreement may state a different cap for that service.
These exclusions do not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence or personal-injury liability to the extent it cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
To the extent permitted by law, a user or organization will defend and indemnify MechaTraining against a third-party claim caused by that party's intentional or unauthorized physical-equipment connection, unlawful content, infringement, credential sharing or material violation of these Terms. This does not shift liability that applicable law assigns to MechaTraining.
Governing law and dispute process
Before filing a claim, the parties should send a written description to support@mecha-training.com and allow 30 days for a good-faith informal resolution, unless urgent relief or a legal deadline makes that impracticable.
These Terms are governed by applicable law and, where legally permitted, Kentucky law, without its conflict-of-law rules. Where legally permitted, proceedings must be brought in a state or federal court with jurisdiction in Kentucky. This clause does not remove mandatory consumer protections, data-protection authority rights or lawful small-claims remedies that cannot be waived in the user's location.
General terms and contact
Users must comply with applicable export-control, sanctions, anti-corruption and local laws. The user may not assign an account or these Terms. MechaTraining may assign them in connection with a merger, reorganization, financing or transfer of the service. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum necessary and the remaining provisions continue. Headings are for convenience. Electronic records and signatures may be used. These Terms and incorporated documents are the complete online agreement for the covered service, subject to any expressly controlling signed agreement.
General account acceptance is not consent to participate in human-subject or identifiable-user research. Such research requires a separate study notice and affirmative consent, and any required institutional or ethics approval. Refusing a research invitation does not affect ordinary service access unless participation is the separately described service.
The full legal documents are currently provided in English. The English version controls to the extent permitted by applicable law. Where applicable law requires a translated or local-language version to govern, that mandatory version controls to that extent. Translated interface labels and consent summaries identify the principal choices but do not replace the full documents. A person who does not understand the documents should contact support before creating or continuing an account.
